1. Display Advertising (PDF)

Display adverts should be supplied as:
- A one-page Adobe Acrobat PDF document
- A4 size (210mm x 297mm), full colour
- Embedded fonts and no crop marks or bleed
- Saved to 144dpi resolution or less (we only publish digitally, and this is ample for on-screen display)

2. Logo

3. Banner Advertising
|
Banners should be supplied as:


Tips for effective banner creation:
- Use animation (2 or 3 frames) to attract attention and increase the response rate.
- Create and animate the banner using software like Corel Paint Shop Pro.
- Small file size means the banner will load whilst the visitor is still on the page
- Include a 'call to action' (e.g. the words "Click Here")
- Show the Web address (URL), since many viewers will not want to click to leave the current page but may make a note to visit later

4. Text Advertising
|
Adverts for the plain text newsletters should be provided in the following format:
- 8 lines of text
- 70 characters per line (including spaces and word wrapping)
- Plain ASCII text only -- no pound signs or other formatting (including no tabs, bold, italic or HTML tags).
To confirm your advert is plain text, use the Willco Plain Text Checker.
To maximise the effectiveness of your advert we suggest the following:
- Include a contact email address and telephone number (in international format)
- Include a Web address link to a special response/gateway page so that you can measure response
- Free offers or special discounts will significantly increase response rates
To create your text advert we would recommend using some software like Textpad.

Terms and Conditions
- Rates have been set at January 2006 and may change without notice.
- "The Publisher" is defined as Free Pint Limited, Willco Limited or Researcha Limited, depending on the publication/site.
- No refunds are given for cancelled advertising space. We reserve the right to refuse advertising if it is considered to be unsuitable.
- Advertising space is generally allocated on a first-come, first-placed basis. It is not usually possible to specify the exact position of an advert within a publication.
- No conditions, printed or otherwise, appearing on insertion orders, contract, insertion instructions, or any other form of correspondence that conflict with these policies will be binding to the publisher.
- Payment will be invoiced upon receipt of the booking, not commencement of the advertising, unless otherwise approved in writing by the publisher.
- All prices are exclusive of VAT for UK customers.
- Standard 30 day terms apply.
