Robin Neidorf ran a research and communications consulting business for 10 years, prior to joining Free Pint Limited. As a consultant, she focused on strategic planning, using information to make better decisions, and creating effective audience-focused communications across different media.
Robin has been working with FreePint since 2004, and, since joining full time in 2006, is responsible for strategic planning, product development, relationship management, research and communications.
Robin has worked with a wide range of organisations in the for-profit and non-profit sector. She has developed online communities, publications and distance learning modules for a range of business purposes. She is the author of Teach Beyond Your Reach: An instructor's guide to developing and running successful distance learning classes, workshops, training sessions and more (Cyber Age, 2006) and the co-author of E-Merchant: Retail Strategies for e-Commerce (Addison-Wesley, 2001).

William Hann

Managing Director
William Hann is the founder and Managing Director of the Onopoly network of companies; the publishing services company Willco was founded in 1996, the publisher FreePint in 1997, and the company information vendor Researcha in 2004.
William has a background in online information provision, having worked for a number of information vendors (including the Financial Times, Dialog and News International). William has received a number industry awards, including European Special Librarian of the Year, Jason Farradane Award, and a Golden Candle Award from the Open Source Intelligence community. William is a facilitator for the Dow Jones Factiva Customer Advisory Board, and has a first class honours degree in Information Science from Aberystwyth University.

Pam Foster

Editor, VIP
Pam Foster is the Editor of VIP, since its launch in 2003.
Pam Foster has been actively involved in the business information industry as a writer and reviewer for nearly 20 years.
Pam previously played a major role in Headland Business Information since its inception, as editor of its newsletters and directories. More recently, she has acted as a consultant to several large information companies.
Pam has an extensive network of contacts in the international business information sector amongst producers and users. A qualified information professional, Pam also has a social science degree.

Shirl Kennedy

Shirl Kennedy is the chief editor/compiler of DocuTicker, a daily hand-picked selection of resources, reports and publications from government agencies, NGOs, think tanks and other public interest organizations.
Shirl has worked in academic, corporate and public libraries, was
Network Information Manger for the Tampa Bay Library Consortium and Web
Guide Manager for Time, Inc.'s Business 2.0 magazine. She is currently the
reference librarian at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. She writes the
Internet Waves column for Information Today, and her newest book, The Savvy
Guide to Motorcycles, was published last November by Indy/Tech Press.
A former newspaper reporter, Shirl received her masters degree in library
and information science from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She
lives in St. Petersburg, FL, with the obligatory two cats, a motorcycle, a
pick-up truck and the younger of her two sons. She belongs to the Society
for American Baseball Research, and can always be dragged away from the
computer to go to a ball game.

Gary Price

Editor, ResourceShelf
Gary Price is the founder and chief editor/compiler of ResourceShelf, a daily electronic newsletter of news and resources of interest for online researchers.
From August 2004 through January 2006, Gary was the News Editor of Search Engine Watch. He is a frequent speaker at professional and trade conferences, a contributor to Searcher magazine and the co-author (with Chris Sherman) of The Invisible Web, published by CyberAge Books.
Gary has also compiled several well-known web research tools including Price's List of Lists and direct search. These and other compilations have been mentioned in numerous publications including The Washington Post, The Guardian, and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Gary holds a Masters of Library and Information Science degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2004/2005.

Sara Waddington

Senior Managing Editor
Sara Waddington spent several years as editor of Shephard's Unmanned Vehicles magazine and handbook, as well as drawing up conference programmes for Shephard's annual Unmanned Vehicles conferences, Ministry of Defence seminars and UAV Civil Opportunities symposia. She also conceived and launched Shephard's www.uvonline.com news service.
She left the Shephard Press in 2001 to join Jane's Information Group as managing editor for naval (defence) and maritime publications, responsible for editorial quality and profitability of naval and maritime portfolios (yearbooks, softbounds, CD-ROM, online – approx. thirty products).
She has consulting experience, supplying editorial services to clients (writing, launching and conceiving a number of magazines and websites in different industries). In addition to her work for Free Pint Limited, Sara serves as a director of Merlin Integrated Solutions Ltd which offers a range of aerospace consultancy services, market research and analysis reports and system solutions.

Marcy Phelps

Contributing Editor (Find), FUMSI
Marcy Phelps is the founder and president of Denver-based Phelps Research, which offers business and market research and research training services.
She started the company in 2000 after obtaining a master’s degree in library and information services from the University of Denver. Marcy is a member of and has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Independent Information Professionals. She also is a member of the Special Libraries Association and the Business Marketing Association (Colorado Chapter Board of Directors, 2006-2008).
Marcy has a strong background in public speaking and writing. She frequently presents at marketing and information industry conferences and is a contributor to "Introduction to Online Market & Industry Research," part of a six-volume series of business research guides. In addition, she publishes ResearchNOTES, a free monthly e-mail bulletin with useful sites and tips for Internet research.

Tim Buckley-Owen

Tim is an independent information industry commentator. His career has encompassed information management, writing, editing, training, government policy advice and corporate media & marketing.
Tim did his information apprenticeship in London’s City Business Library, and then set up the London Research Centre’s business information service. Meanwhile he also edited the City Information Group’s newsletter CIGlet, wrote regularly for Information World Review and for the Market Research Society’s Research magazine, and edited Business Information Review.
Later he became head of policy & communications at the Library & Information Commission (subsequently absorbed into the Museums, Libraries & Archives Council) and finally head of membership, marketing & media at CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals.
Tim went fully independent in 2006. Besides contributing to Freepint’s FUMSI and VIP, he also writes for Library & Information Gazette and Managing Information, and runs training courses covering a range of value-added information skills.

Karen Loasby

Karen is Information Architecture Team Leader in the BBC's Future Media & Technology department.
She graduated with a first class honours degree in Communications from the University of Leeds and received an MSc in Information Science from City University.
Karen has worked as a graduate trainee for the Guardian, a researcher for Learn.co.uk, a production assistant for Guardian Unlimited and joined the BBC in 2001. At the BBC she has focused on enabling search and navigation through metadata and content management. She manages a team of 16 information architects who work across search, content management, programme information, iPlayer, BBC Archive, mobile content and interactive television services.
Karen is a regular presenter at information architecture conferences where she presents and teaches on topics around metadata, content management and designing for data-driven applications. She writes about information architecture and creativity at www.iaplay.com

Monique Cuvelier

Monique Cuvelier serves as editor of the FreePint Newsletter and Contributing Editor (Share) for FUMSI.
Monique has been a professional editor and writer for more than 17 years. She has covered business and technology, focusing on new technologies and the way people share information, since the mid-1990s. Her work has appeared in many top international publications, including Wired News and The Western Mail in Wales.
Monique is also frequently called on to help launch publications, structure information flow and consult on leading technologies, which she's done for leading companies in the UK and US. She has also helped develop curriculum and publishing technologies for online learning for several years.
She has also been a long-time contributor to FreePint, and has helped steered content through her role as editor of the FreePint newsletter and Jinfo.
